“ Pete is all we expect from our singer-songwriters. Very creative, independent (and very proud of it), talented and unpredictable ”
MOJO Magazine
Pete Morton is a singer and entertainer with an abundance of self-written songs that have a spectrum from very personal to global. Often referred to as the "Troubadour of the Old Age", it delivers a stubborn mix of humanism, politics, love, social comments and humor that are deeply connected to traditional folk. Since Pete discovered the acoustic music scene for himself at the age of 16, he has been on an endless journey as a folk singer / writer. With his powerful, melodious voice, storytelling and convincingen stage presence, he fills a very interesting niche with songs for peace, justice, hope and global inclusion, in a fun-loving, open-minded style. In January 2024 Pete released a new album, a new collection of songs was launched. It is the subsequent production after the successful album "A Golden Thread ".

John Conolly is an internationally-respected songwriter, who has based his style firmly in the
British folk tradition. His most popular song, “FIDDLERS’ GREEN” – a fisherman’s vision of Paradise – is
performed and loved all over the world. John’s childhood was spent not far from the docks in the English fishing port of Grimsby, where the River Humber joins the North Sea, and where his grandfather and great-grandfather learned their trade as shipwrights in the riverside dockyards. As the fishing industry declined, following the “Cod Wars” with Iceland, John watched the local fishing fleet limp into oblivion, and began to chronicle the lives and labours of the men who worked on the trawlers and along the waterside. “FIDDLERS’ GREEN”, written in the 1960’s, was popularised by folk artistes like the Dubliners and the Clancy Brothers, and has become firmly embedded in the canon of maritime music. Nowadays, John continues to write thought-provoking, tuneful, singable and often outrageously funny songs. Over the years, he has become an experienced performer in all kinds of venues, from the concert-hall to the local pub, and he has toured throughout Britain, in the Netherlands, the USA and Germany. His songs have won awards in many major song-writing contests.

Described by Fairport Convention as a National Treasure, this singer-songwriter has been an integral part of the UK music scene for 30 years. Anthony John Clarke is originally from Belfast, AJ emerged there with his songs ‘The Broken Years’ and ‘The Only Life Gloria Knows’, but now presents as one of the most humorous and entertaining acts around. Audiences cannot resist the musical invitations to sing from this true gentleman of the music world. Expect a degree of sentiment, but also songs covering topics from the Man From Uncle to Car Boot Sales, Presidents, Karaoke Nights, Nuns, Grandchildren and how to avoid them (he has at least five), Camping, Bigots, and Hitchhiking. This man is perhaps the funniest at serious songs and the most serious about funny songs. Enjoy the ride with AJ and everyone is advised to bring all necessary medication!

Bob Fox is an English folk guitarist and singer, specialising in traditional and contemporary songs of the north-east of England and in particular, the coal mining communities thereof.
Fox was born in 1953 in Seaham, County Durham. After discovering he could sing while in school he taught himself guitar and started singing in folk clubs while at the same time training to be a teacher in Durham, where he qualified in 1975. He commenced his singing career as a resident at the "Davy Lamp" Folk Club in Washington, Tyne and Wear, in approx. 1970 and in 1975, teamed up to form a professional duo with fellow north-eastern singer (and fiddle player) Tom McConville for 2 years (1975–77). After this he formed a duo with ex- Hedgehog Pie singer, guitarist and acoustic bass guitar player Stu Luckley, which performed all over the United Kingdom and recorded two albums, the first of which Nowt So Good'll Pass was voted Folk Album of the Year by Melody Maker in 1978. Fox and Luckley became a popular attraction on the UK folk scene. After ceasing the partnership with Luckley in 1982 to pursue individual projects, Fox has maintained a successful career as a solo folk performer for over 30 years. During the 1990s, together with Benny Graham he developed a multi-media show documenting the coal mining communities of Durham and Northumberland, which led to the CD "How Are You Off For Coals", featuring a selection of mining songs. In 2006 Fox, along with a range of other top UK folk artists, was involved in providing performances for the "2006 Radio Ballads" commissioned by BBC Radio, and in 2009 he performed in the part of "Songman" in the highly acclaimed West End production of War Horse which played in the West End for 18 months and was subsequently toured for another eighteen months around Britain, Ireland and South Africa. Scholar Anthony Ashbolt describes Fox as "possessing one of the best folk-singing voices in England and he evokes the world of the miners and, in general, the songs of the northeast, with power and clarity."

Kip Winter learned piano from age 9. Bought a second-hand flute for Fr400 when living in France in 1980 and has subsequently "pootled" on guitar, tenor guitar, bass, piano accordion and tenor ukulele.
But mainly she loves to sing - anything from classical and jazz to soul, but especially folk and blues.
Dave Wilson plays mainly Martin guitars, plus a handmade Nick Benjamin.
Occasionally he has a "rock god moment" when he gets the chance to play his Fender Strat.

Four musicians at the top of their game, honed from years of performance. With talent in great measure, they showcase their creativity & technical brilliance in every song. Intriguingly crafted classics and soul searching ballads shine with four-part harmonies and instrumental virtuosity, all introduced with dry wit and audacious humour.
Mick Doonan was a founder member of the legendary 70s folk-rock band Hedgehog Pie and comes from the famous Tyneside dynasty. John Doonan Snr, was an All-Ireland flute champion. Michael also fronts The Mighty Doonan’s folk-rock band. In The Hunch he provides vocals as well as flutes and pipes.
Bob Thomas fronted another highly respected folk-rock outfit, Kitsyke Will, and has since lent his wonderful soul-inflected vocal style to The Solicitors, as well as singing, playing percussion and harmonica with The Hunch.
Alongside these two are the stunning acoustic guitarist/vocalist Chris Hanks and keyboards/accordionist/vocalist Tony Bacon, both alumni of West Yorkshire’s thriving roots scene.
A collective ready wit & easy rapport with audiences of all sizes ensures that any gig involving The Hunch goes with a swing - tasteful, exciting, assured, soulful, enjoyable and lasting in the memory.

Steve Tilston is one of our most celebrated song smiths, widely recognised within the world of folk and contemporary music; the words, arrangements and subtle, quite superb guitar playing could be no one else.
Steve was voted, Fatea Awards Male Vocalist of the Year 2015 and Truth to Tell was chosen as one of The Telegraph’s top folk albums that year too.
He joined an illustrious band of guitarists including Martin Simpson, Michael Messer and Wizz Jones, when he was invited to contribute to the Guitar Maestro series of DVDs; a combination of live studio performance and interviews, revealing the real passion behind these talented musicians… If anyone ever deserved the moniker “Guitar Maestro”, it’s Steve Tilston!
The writer of such classic songs as The Slipjigs and Reels and the award-winning The Reckoning, is also a published author. Steve’s first novel All for Poor Jack is an historical tale set in Bristol and the New World, full of colourful characters. It’s a mighty good read and has been enjoyed by the likes of Bob Dylan no less!
